There was a case where a boost of confidence was asked from a hypnotist. As instructed, the hypnotherapist put the subject into the trance state and told the subject that he had so much confidence he could do whatever he wanted. Several days later, the subject could not get this thought out of his head and actually did attempt to rob a bank.
