Hypnosis CAN Help!

hypnosis helpHow many times have we heard the tale of woe about the individual who went to get hypnotic help to stop smoking or over-eating, but sadly failed completely in their attempt, even after several long and drawn out efforts to try again and again. Why is that, if hypnosis has this mysterious ability to control minds and make others do our bidding?

It´s because hypnosis cannot control minds and make others do our bidding. That´s an old wives´ tale and deceitful urban legend. Hypnosis can´t make anyone do anything that they wouldn´t like to do normally. So then, if that´s true, what is the whole point of it? It is a helpful enabler, it is there to help people do the things they really DO want to do, but are afraid to try. It helps people accomplish the tasks that they truly want to achieve, but lacked the confidence to get the gumption together enough to actually give it a serious effort.

Perhaps a person is interested in being a singer. They have a lovely voice and a well-trained ear, but every time they step onto a stage in front of an audience, they choke up and their voice closes. In this case hypnosis is very effective, because it helps someone achieve the comfort level and confidence to do what they want to do.

Say there is a person who is very much attracted to another individual, but they just can´t seem to find a way or words to let them know exactly how they feel. Hypnosis, especially self-hypnosis, under these specific circumstances, is just the thing to help this person get the comfort level and confidence to approach the individual of their interest and make love connection that may very well have gone denied without it.

As you can see, in all these varying cases, hypnosis is not being used to try to talk someone into doing something that they don´t want to do, but rather it is the positive enabling force that allows a person to rise above the occasion. To allow them to break from the rut that has been holding them back and free them to finally reach out and do what it is they truly, really want to do. Hypnosis is not maniacal manipulator, but is actually an edifying enabler, that comes to people´s rescue and allows them to finally accomplish what it is they have had their hearts set on, but didn´t have the confidence to go for it before. That is all it is, but believe me, when it comes to truly making people´s lives more satisfying, that´s enough.

Good comment, if hypnosis was so powerful that you can get anyone to do ANYTHING, the therapy would work 100% everytime, in one session. Unfortunately it is not that simple. Hypnosis can only help the mind do or achieve something it wants to do. If someone has a habit or way of thinking that they have had for many years, then it often takes some effort to break it, even if they want to.
